LAIRIG GHRU – Sunday 21st May 2023

The Lairig Ghru is Scotland’s most iconic mountain pass, which was a droving route until 1873. This guided walk takes you through the heart of the Cairngorms, where you will be surrounded by stunning scenery throughout the day.
We will meet at Linn of Dee carpark, approximately 6miles beyond Braemar, and set out for our long walk over the mountain pass towards our end point at Coylumbridge, at Aviemore, where our return transport will be waiting for us. Please note, there is a car parking charge at Linn of Dee car park, and this is currently £3.
The Lairig Ghru is a serious walk of 31km (19 miles), and we reach altitude of 835m. A good level of fitness is required for this day out. Please don’t underestimate this!
Usana Mindset has arranged a hillguide to join us on this long walk, where you will learn more about the iconic route, the mountains that overlook us on both sides, as well as the wildlife and nature spotted on the day.
These special Usana Mindset walks are not about rushing to the top or talking non stop. Instead you will find these to be insightful, peaceful, reflective and wonderful in bringing the mind back to a balance where you can enjoy the present.
By being out in nature, you remove the noise of life and can gain greater clarity on situations.
There will be a mix of group & 1-2-1 discussions and general chat, plus very importantly, there will also be quiet time for your own reflection, notes and mindfulness.
Get ready for another special day out! 🌟
